Who I am

Nicolas Laurent RIBA – Director

Nic is an architect who after graduating at Kingston University in 1996 has worked for a number of eminent practices in London including Rick Mather Architects, Marks Barfield and Foreign Office Architects. His professional experience ranges from masterplanning, full design and architectural services as well as urban regeneration and public procurement processes. In many instances these projects brought him to be involved and consult with wide stakeholder bodies and committees. Nicolas developed Village Underground with Auro Foxcroft to create affordable artist workspaces in the heart of the creative community of Shoreditch. His expertise with large stakeholder clients lead him to act as Client and Technical Adviser to the London Borough of Hackney Education Property Team for the past fourteen years. He is a Chartered architect also on the Education register of RIBA Client Advisers. He is also a member of the BRE BIM academy following Information Management training.

Nic has worked within client teams for the past 14 years, and has closely observed the fractures that occur in the delivery of buildings, leaving clients with assets that do not perform and are not maintainable as they should do. To address these shortcomings, Nic has created a company able to deliver all stages of the building process, and build within it a cyclical processes that enable the dissemination of knowledge across its multidisciplinary workforce.
