Village Underground
Created as an answer to London’s high rental costs of work spaces, the solution came in the form of a cheap execution to pass on cheap rents to artists and creatives starting on their journey. The site sits on a disused section of railway viaduct, the units were adapted from London Underground carriages due to be scrapped, and materials used were generally reclaimed or scrap offcuts of larger projects. This assemblage of waste material formed the basis for very cheap construction providing the perfect platform for upcoming artists.
